Robert Lansing Institute is a non-government organization and produces strictly non-partisan, non-ideological, fact-based research. Robert Lansing Institute seeks to promote an informed understanding of hybrid threats, global challenges to modern democracies and political affairs through comprehensive, independent, and accessible open-source research and analysis. Robert Lansing Institute’s research is made available to the general public, policy makers, and members of the media.

Robert Lansing Institute’s research methodology relies on both primary and secondary sources, enabling researchers to develop a comprehensive understanding of the situation. In order to analyze developments in any given area, Robert Lansing Institute’s research analysts must wholly understand the population demographics, politics, and history of that area. This lays the analytical foundation for understanding the reasons for particular developments and fulfilling their assigned research objectives. Our researchers compile data and analyze trends, producing a granular analysis of developments in areas of research, producing an accurate, high-resolution, timely, and thorough picture of the situation.

Integrity: All of Robert Lansing Institute’s research and analysis is unclassified, fully documented, and of the highest integrity. Robert Lansing Institute will not accept funding from that interest for that staff member’s work. Likewise, Robert Lansing Institute employees may not accept payment from lobbying or advocacy groups even in their personal capacity.

Funding: In order to sustain and grow our research programs and achieve our mission, Robert Lansing Institute is funded entirely through the support of foundations, corporations, and private individuals. Research is driven by events on the ground and based on the priorities of Robert Lansing Institute’s leadership and analysts. Foundations may sponsor research.
